The Gender Diversity Snapshot provides a timely overview of the representation of women on ASX‑listed company boards, tracking progress across the ASX 100, 200 and 300 and highlighting emerging trends shaping board composition in Australia.

While significant progress has been made in improving gender balance in Australian boardrooms, women remain underrepresented in board leadership positions relative to their overall board representation.

This edition explores the role boards can play in sustaining momentum through succession planning, board renewal and leadership development. It also examines why the next phase of progress must extend beyond representation alone, focusing on ensuring more women are positioned to take on Chair and other senior governance roles that shape the future direction of Australia’s listed companies.
