AICD Director Tools revised for use in 2020

    The 70+ individual documents that comprise the AICD’s Director Tools have been revised and republished on the website. Make time in the new year to explore the topics covered by this resource.

    The Director Tools is a collection of documents, templates and question banks which deliver high-level practical guidance on core Australian boardroom topics. They are among the AICD’s most frequently used resources and examine issues ranging from the rights of directors and directors’ fees to financial reporting requirements and board minute taking.

    The tools are appropriate for aspiring, new and established directors alike. They provide quickly digestible, trusted guidance that can be readily accessed and brought into boardroom and other governance discussions.     How are the tools organised?

    All tools have also now been recategorized into four groups: Individual, Board, Organisational and Stakeholder. The four groups align with the AICD’s Corporate Governance Framework™, a comprehensive map of boardroom responsibilities, competencies and processes. The tools therefore now also align with the Self-assessment Tool (SAT), a 20-minute personal assessment which maps an individual’s director capabilities.
