Company Director magazine to relaunch with fresh new look

Tuesday, 29 August 2017

October will see the relaunch of Company Director magazine, bringing hard-hitting news and views from the boardroom with a fresh new look.

In October, the Australian Institute of Company Directors will relaunch the Company Director magazine with the latest news, views and insights on the issues facing Australia's boardrooms. Company Director has over many decades established itself as the leading publication on governance, providing timely and relevant information to the AICD's community of members to help them perform in their roles.

The magazine will have a fresh new look that will bring to life the stories and columns with striking images and design.

A renewed focus on data will highlight through infographics and visualisation the business trends that directors need to be aware of.

The AICD takes pride in the magazine tackling the big challenges directors are dealing with. The stable of columnists at the magazine will continue to include leading governance and business thinkers, including Bob Baxt AO FAICDLife and Phil Ruthven AM FAICD giving their takes on the latest economic, legal and policy developments. And the features and profiles will continue to tell the unique stories of AICD members, helping other directors learn from their experiences.

Narelle Hooper MAICD, a distinguished journalist and former editor of BOSS, will lead the Company Director team, bringing her extensive business knowledge and contacts to the role.

The magazine will become more tightly integrated into the AICD's website and social media channels, making it more accessible for our members than it ever has been. A digital version of the magazine will be available on both Android and iOS devices, allowing you to read on your tablet or mobile phone. The current magazine app (iOS only) will not be updated after September and will be removed from the App Store at the end of the year.

The October issue will be previewed in next month's Membership Update and will feature the game-changing directors and ideas that are shaking up Australia's boardrooms.

Company Director magazine is an important benefit of AICD membership and we value your feedback on it. In the next two weeks, we will send a benchmarking survey on the magazine to a sample of members. The results will be used as a baseline to help us measure the quality and relevance of the re-launched magazine over time.  Your support in completing this survey is greatly appreciated.
