Change is inevitable, ensure your organisation is resilient to govern in the future. The increasing complexity of the public sector means there is no one-size-fits-all approach to governance.
Following the success of the Australian Institute of Company Director’s (AICD) ASX and Private Business Forums in November 2016, the Public Sector Forum will be held in Canberra, in August this year.
In his keynote address, Dr Robert Kaye MAICD, co-founder and executive director of Incept Labs will speak about Tackling the key issues of our times. He will consider the significance of diversity, innovation and risk and the competing priorities that must be balanced to improve outcomes and progress a greater agenda.
The half-day forum also includes two panel sessions, Achieving greater outcomes in the public sector through the fostering of better cross-sector collaboration and Big data and public sector organisations. These interactive sessions are led by experienced directors, leaders and industry experts. Their sector-specific content will challenge your current thinking and ensure your organisation has the resilience to govern into the future.
The networking lunch at the conclusion of the forum is an opportunity to meet your peers, discuss the challenges you are experiencing or expect to face, and reflect on the day’s discussions.
The program is designed to be of benefit to public sector executives, directors, committee members and advisers.

Benchmark your board
The AICD’s Governance Analysis Tool™ (GAT) was developed with input from some of our most senior directors, with one mission in mind – to build a stronger governance environment for you and your organisation.
A unique and comprehensive process, the tool is designed to focus the board’s attention on the full system of governance.
Directors and the executive team are guided through an integrated 360 assessment, which offers the benefit of benchmarked data, qualitative responses and variance analysis across all areas of governance.
Based on the Company Directors Corporate Governance Framework™, the GAT was developed to identify performance interdependencies and remove the risk of governance blind spots.
It enables organisations of different sizes, sectors and legal structures to review their board, enhance their strengths, identify opportunities for improvement and drive better performance.
