AICD supports ASIC advising directors of audit findings

As part of its surveillance program, ASIC regularly inspects company audits and makes findings on them.
ASIC now propose that it should communicate findings from its reviews of audit files to directors of the entities audited on a routine basis rather than, as it currently does, on an exception basis. The AICD has made a submission to ASIC supporting this proposal.
