ALRC review into Australia’s corporate criminal responsibility regime

On 10 May 2019, the AICD provided a submission to the Australian Law Reform Commission regarding the scope of its inquiry into the corporate criminal responsibility regime.
The AICD emphasised the importance of having a well-balanced framework that is consistent with established principles of corporate governance, criminal justice and criminal law, while recognising the existing avenues for holding senior officers liable for corporate fault.
