The AICD has commented on the issues raised by the NSW Law Reform Commission in Consultation Paper 17 Third party claims on insurance money: Review of s 6 of the Law Reform (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1946 (NSW).

In summary, the AICD recommended that section 6 be repealed because it is unclear, ambiguous and unnecessary.
