The Australian Institute of Company Directors has announced changes to its National
Board.

The Australian Institute of Company Directors has announced changes to its National Board.

Heith Mackay-Cruise FAICD has been appointed to the AICD Board as National Director, replacing Tracey Horton AO FAICD, who has retired from the Board as National Director and Deputy Chair at the expiry of her second term.

Board member Anne Cross AM FAICD is the new Deputy Chair.

Mr Mackay-Cruise is currently the non-executive Chair of UP Education Limited in New Zealand, a non-executive Director of Southern Cross Media Group Limited and a non-executive Director of Orro Group.

Previously, Mr Mackay-Cruise was a non-executive Chair of LiteracyPlanet, hipages Group and the Vision Australia Foundation, as well as a previous non-executive director of LifeHealthcare and Bailador Technology Investments.

AICD Chair John Atkin FAICD congratulated Mr Mackay-Cruise on his appointment.

“I look forward to working with Heith on the AICD Board. He will add invaluable experience, particularly in digital business models and adult education, to our board.”

“Tracey Horton has been a great colleague on our board.  She has made an enormous contribution to the Institute over the last 6 years, particularly chairing our National Education Advisory Committee (NEAC) and, in the last three years, supporting me as Deputy Chair.  We will miss her contribution.”

“I congratulate Anne on assuming the role of Deputy Chair. I am really grateful to Anne for stepping up to this role.”

Michael Schaper FAICD, who joined the Board last November as ACT Division Director, is taking over from Tracey as Chair of NEAC.
