New podcast Board Level showcases women in the boardroom

The Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) has teamed up with CommBank’s Women in Focus to produce a new podcast series featuring tips and stories from leading female directors.

The podcast, Board Level, is hosted by award-winning journalist, author and presenter, Catherine Fox who will interview six Australian women making an impact in the boardroom. AICD CEO and Managing Director, Angus Armour, said the podcast is a great resource for aspiring female directors.

“The unique director journeys featured in Board Level will help aspiring directors seeking to understand the role of a director and will provide an insight into the process directors go through when looking for board roles.”

Episodes feature female directors talking about their transition to Non-Executive Director roles, building their director brand, the recruitment process and what it means to be on a board.

In the first episode, Sally Evans, who is on the boards of ASX 200 Healthcare provider Healius, New Zealand retirement village operator Oceania Healthcare and is the chair of social enterprise LifeCircle Australia, talks about how she got started in her director career, what she would have done differently, and her advice for those looking to step up to the boardroom.
