Friday, 08 April 2016

The Australian Institute of Company Directors today called on those in the not-profit-sector to take part in the eighth annual NFP Governance and Performance Study.

Mr Tilbrook is currently a non-executive director of GPT Group, Orica and Woodside Petroleum. He is also a director of Bell Shakespeare Company and a councillor of Curtin University.

“Gene is a long-standing member of the AICD who has served on our national board since July 2013 and is also a former President of our Western Australian division. His background as a senior director in both the listed and not-for-profit sectors makes him an ideal candidate to represent the broad interests of our 38,000 members,” said AICD Chairman Elizabeth Proust.

“I am honoured to be appointed Deputy Chair of the AICD and to help drive its mission of promoting excellence in governance. Boards play a critical role in many aspects of Australian society and it is our goal to ensure that their contribution is significant,” said Mr Tilbrook.
