Membership with the Australian Institute of Company Directors guarantees you exclusive, complimentary access to our state-of-the-art Business Centre and Member Lounges, located in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and, as of this month, in Hobart.
On 1 March, the Tasmanian Division of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) opened its new Business Centre and Member Lounge in the heart of Hobart at 4/85 Macquarie Street.
Officially opened by AICD Chairman Elizabeth Proust AO FAICD, Tasmanian Premier the Hon Will Hodgman MP and AICD Divisional President Dr Rod Roberts FAICD, the lounge is a welcome addition for Tasmanian and inter-state AICD members.
“Our new Lounge provides a sanctuary for members to plug-in and quietly work or unplug, have a great coffee and read a newspaper,” Cathie Goss, State Manager of AICD’s TAS Division said.
“Our members are often chasing from one meeting to another when traveling away from home and have told us they appreciate a quiet space in which to draw a breath, check emails and make a few calls.”
The new facility offers discreet meeting places, networking hubs and quiet spaces to rest and relax. A range of complimentary services including concierge and daily storage, wifi, tea and coffee, printing and a selection of the latest publications are also available.
For those looking for more privacy or a more formal setting to conduct meetings, the multi-functional space also has a number of meeting rooms and a modern training facility available for hire by members and the wider business community.
“Our purpose-built and welcoming space serves most business needs with catering packages also available,” she said.
