After over two decades in public and private finance, Leilani Frew MAICD shares her insights on public sector governance and national infrastructure risks and opportunities.
In November 2017, the Commonwealth Government appointed Leilani as the inaugural CEO of the Infrastructure and Project Financing Agency (IPFA). The IPFA provides commercial and financial advice to support the Australian Government’s infrastructure and investment decisions.
Leilani was an Executive Director and sector Head for Mergers and Acquisitions involving infrastructure, power and utilities companies at investment bank Moelis & Co. She has also held senior positions at the Royal Bank of Scotland and ABN AMRO.
In the public sector, Leilani spent almost five years at NSW Treasury providing commercial and financial advice to the NSW government on infrastructure and services commissioning priorities. In 2015, Leilani was the recipient of the Infrastructure Partnerships Australia (IPA) ‘Women’s Achievement in Infrastructure Award’. The IPA said, “Following an impressive 20 year career in public and private finance, Ms Frew has recently played a central role in a number of significant projects currently underway across NSW including the North West Rail Link, CBD and South East Light Rail and NorthConnex.”
