DirectorCast is a fresh new podcast series from the AICD aimed at keeping members informed regarding contemporary governance issues. Each episode will showcase world-class thought leadership from the AICD’s faculty or guest speakers from international business schools.

In the series, Marcel Mol, the AICD’s General Manager, Education, interviews guest faculty members, drawing out their thoughts, reflections and advice on contemporary topics that are already, or soon will be, accessible in the AICD curriculum. The podcast offers short, sharp and practical lessons for directors and governance leaders and accesses the skills, insights and classroom observations of the highly qualified AICD faculty

Welcome to the first episode of DirectorCast, hosted by Marcel Mol, General Manager of Education at the AICD. In this episode, he discusses emerging governance issues internationally such as trust, diverse governance regimes in Europe and board challenges with Professor Ludo Van Der Heyden, who is the Chaired Professor of Corporate Governance at INSEAD in Paris. Professor Van Der Heyden, who is also the founding Academic Director of INSEAD's Corporate Governance Initiative, visited Australia in November and hosted a lunch with senior business leaders at the AICD’s Sydney office, which is where we spoke to him.
