Following a Queensland Division Council recommendation, the National Council has awarded Life Fellowship to Frank Haly, AO in recognition of his contribution and service to the AICD and the community.
Frank Haly has been a member of the AICD since 1979.
In 1986, he became a member of the Queensland Council of the Institute of Directors (predecessor to the AICD) and remained on the State Council until January 1997. During this time, he served as Queensland president in 1991-1992, and as a member of the National Council.
He was also the Queensland representative on the National Accounting and Financial Advisory Committee and remained on the Committee until 2001. He was an active contributor and able to impart a thoughtful, technical and practical director point of view.
In 1998, the Queensland Division Gold Medal Award was presented to Haly in recognition of his outstanding contribution to Queensland, particularly in areas of accounting, banking and the media as well as to business and community life more generally.
