Conference lineup strengthens

    The Company Directors Conference 2001 program is nearing completion and includes an impressive line up of international and national speakers.


     International speakers to appear in Hobart from 9-11 May include David Pearce Snyder, strategic futurist forecaster and lifestyle editor of Futurist magazine, USA; Timothy Ong, chairman of Asia Inc, Brunei Darusslam; Howard Putnam, chairman, Aircraft Interior Resources and former CEO of Southwest Airlines; and Evan Thornley, co-founder and CEO of Looksmart, USA. Some national personalities to attend include Cameron Moroney, former CEO of corProcure; Linda Graham-McCann, founder and former managing director of Microsoft Australia; Mark Mezrani, chief executive of Wine Planet Holdings; and Elizabeth Proust, group general manager Corporate Affairs and Human Resources of ANZ Banking Group. Also attending from the United States will be Larry Irving, president and CEO of Urban Magic.com and former Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Communication and Information in the Clinton/Gore Administration.

    One of the many highlights of "Sustainable Performance ... an exploration" will be the presentation by Juan Enriquez of Harvard University on the "New dynamics of the old economy", and the challenges traditional organisation face in the "new" marketplace.
