Kerryn is the CEO of Directors Australia, a national board advisory and non-executive director recruitment firm. In this capacity, Kerryn advises a wide range of businesses on how to improve board and organisational performance through strategy, board structures, board composition, risk and governance systems and practices.


Kerryn has over 30 years’ experience working in various legal, management and commercial roles in the private and public sectors, and as a consultant working across the private, government, publicly-listed, and not-for-profit sectors in an extensive range of industries.

Kerryn’s consulting advice is enhanced by her extensive personal experience as a director on the boards of private, public sector and not-for-profit companies in diverse industries including aged care, education, agriculture, child care, energy, property and housing.

Her board and governance experience includes the Queensland Liquor and Gaming Commission, Energex Ltd (electricity distributor), Energy Queensland Ltd (electricity distributor and retailer with an asset base of $25B), and a leading independent secondary school for girls. Kerryn also serves as an independent governance expert on Nominations Committee for a number of Australian banks.

Kerryn has Masters qualifications in Law, Business Administration and Arts, and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and Governance Institute of Australia. She is also a member of Chief Executive Women.

Kerryn is a regular media commentator and speaker on board and governance-related topics, including in her capacity as The Board Whisperer.
