Dr Kerry Schott AO

Former Chair, Net Zero Emissions

Kerry Schott is currently Chair of the Net Zero Emissions Board in New South Wales and Chair of the Advisory Committee to Energy Corporation NSW. She is also a member of the Aware Super Direct Assets Committee. She has been a Chair and Non-Executive Director of a number of unlisted companies in the infrastructure sector including NBN and Moorebank Intermodal in recent years.


Kerry was Managing Director and CEO of Sydney Water from 2006 to 2011. This coincided with a major drought and the construction of the desal plant and various recycled water plants.

Before that Kerry spent 15 years as an investment banker, including as Managing Director of Deutsche Bank and Executive Vice President of Bankers Trust Australia.  She has also worked as a public servant for the NSW and Commonwealth Government and was a graduate recruit at the Reserve Bank of Australia before further academic work.

Kerry holds a doctorate from Oxford University (Nuffield College), a Master of Arts from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver and a Bachelor of Arts (first class Honours) from the University of New England, Armidale NSW.  She was awarded an Order of Australia in 2015 for services to business and commerce through a range of public and private sector finance roles.
