Daniel specialises in providing governance consulting services to enterprising families, family offices and high net wealth individuals who are managing change and complexity within their family and business systems.
Providing clear frameworks and structures, he seeks to understand their objectives and definitions of success allowing families to co-create an effective plan for the future governance of their business and wider enterprise, including decision-making, investment and communication frameworks.
He has worked in the Business Families sector for over 14 years, working in Australia, the UK and Canada. In addition to his current role as a Director with KPMG Australia, he is the Global Managing Director for KPMG Private Enterprise’s Global Centre of Excellence for Family Business, responsible for the coordination and collaboration of the KPMG Global Family Business Network in its strategic approach to the market and the services that KPMG provides. His roles within the Business Families community also include Co-Chairing the STEP Business Families Special Interest Group Global Steering Committee and as a Faculty Member and Advisory Board Member of the UHNW Institute.
Having worked with families across Australia, Europe and North America, he has seen the field develop and the business families sector grow in prominence in both professional practice and academia. Leveraging this relationship between research and practical application is something of focus both via STEP and his relationship with the STEP Project Global Consortium (SPGC). Daniel has also contributed a variety of whitepapers and reports, presenting at global conferences, events and on several industry podcasts.
