DETECTIVE SUPERINTENDENT ADAM RICE

Detective Superintendent Adam Rice joined the South Australia Police in 2001 and following a short period on general patrols joined the Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) as a Detective in 2004.  Adam worked in metropolitan CIB before working in a variety of specialist crime investigation branches, including OMCG and Drug Investigations.

Adam was promoted to Inspector in 2016 following involvement in a number of key corporate projects involving broad structural and operational changes.During 2020 Adam was heavily involved in the South Australian response to COVID-19 before being promoted in later 2020 to Officer in Charge of the South Australia Police, Financial and Cybercrime Investigation Branch. D/Supt Rice has current responsibility for agency wide High-Tech Crime Investigation, Covert Online Engagement, Confiscations of Assets, Digital Forensics and Serious Financial Crime.
