Margaret Wright MAICD

Margaret’s years in technology, commerce and risk management across multiple industries and decades of technology change helped her understand the breadth of challenges faced in delivering end-to-end transformation. This is supplemented by her experience leading and growing an innovative and highly profitable team of risk consultants.  Recent IoT work brought new experience in connecting teams and technology across new landscapes with complex technical and people challenges.

Her long career has navigated various roles including Partner-in-Charge of KPMG’s Information Risk Management practice and Executive Director at Macquarie Bank. She has reported to Boards and C Level Executives of organisations including ASX, LendLease, MLC, IAG, Westpac, Medibank, TNT the Malaysian Commodities Exchange, Sydney Water and NSW Government entities including Sydney Trains and NSW Police. Margaret was a Member of the Auditing Standards Board and other boards including the National Breast Cancer Foundation and Good Return Australia. Throughout, Margaret has seen and dealt with multiple mistakes and their fallout.

Margaret was responsible for several thought leadership publications including joint development of the EDI Control Guide addressing legal and audit issues of emerging e-Commerce, and KPMG’s Corporate Risk No Surprises publication. Her achievements include NSW finalist in the Telstra NSW Business Women’s awards.
