Marion is a chair, non-executive director, and governance specialist with over 30 years’ board experience.


She specializes in providing governance solutions and establishing sound governance practices, through board reviews and customised board forums.  She also provides supporting business solutions in strategy setting and risk appetite as well as business commercialization, transformation and recovery.  Her suite of supporting tools include; mentoring, coaching, and business alignment stemming from her business and corporate career in television, telecommunications, education, local government and logistics.

She has had diverse senior executive roles improving the top and bottom line.

These include:

  • Telstra, where she headed up the Mobiles Marketing Operations and Strategy and Business Planning functions.
  • CEVA, where as GM of Learning and Development for Australia and NZ divisions, she introduced an innovative lean program that returned a profit to a cost centre.
  • Primus where she led their Strategic and Operational Change function.
  • As a commissioner in Local Government where she delivered the branding of the city that remains today and amalgamated 3 cities.
  • ABC where she was a director of ‘live to air’ news.

Marion holds a number of business and financial qualifications, including, an MBA from Melbourne Business School, post-graduate qualifications in finance, media and project management, a B.Sc. in pure science, is a graduate and Fellow of the AICD and a Williamson Fellow.
