Director, Digital, Jobs and Skills Australia

Liz is Digital Director for the Federal Government’s newly established Jobs and Skills Australia. She is an experienced leader, advisor and start-up founder. Liz’s career spans senior executive roles with several major entities across research, media and government. Her ‘hands-on’ experience covers data product development, digital innovation, entrepreneurship, advocacy, communications, and strategic policy development.

At CSIRO, Liz and her team created an AI job-matching and speed-dating events platform - Ribit.net - to connect tertiary students to paid internships with innovative businesses. Ribit developed a strong following across Australia with its multiple partners, and succeeded in matching thousands of students to employers. The platform was acquired by Stone & Chalk in 2020 and subsequently ReadyGrad in 2022.

Prior, Liz led government relations for the ABC, NICTA and communications for NSW Health. She also enjoyed stints working as a consultant, a digital online producer and a reality TV documentary maker.

Over her career, Liz has held advisory roles across universities, funded programs, industry associations and business units, and mentored several early-stage start-ups. She is currently on the ANU Engineering and Computer Science School Advisory Board, Swinburne Edge (public sector advisory) and a Non-Executive Director with Premonition.io.
