Paula commenced her career in aged care as a Personal Care Attendant (PCA) and as a result understands the needs of older people at a personal, grassroots level. As her career progressed, she held senior leadership roles in a variety of human service organisations in metropolitan Melbourne and around the Gippsland region across the care continuum, from community-based service delivery to residential services. Her practical experience has been augmented by a Bachelor of Behavioural Studies and more recently a Master of Ageing from Melbourne University where her study focus was on improving the mental health of older people in rural areas. Paula’s experience gives her a unique insight into complex health programs' delivery, compliance, and risk management.
