Illawarra Directors’ Briefing: Boardroom Hypotheticals

This event is the perfect opportunity for directors to challenge the application of their governance skills in a simulated board environment.

Participants will be allocated to a table where you and your table members will form a ‘mock board’.

Each board will be presented with hypothetical scenarios and you will all need to agree on the next steps in an allocated time frame. 

The case studies will explore issues related to board oversight of company culture and psychosocial hazards in the workplace.

Led by an experienced facilitator, participants will bring their unique skills and experience to the board table and gain insight on: 

• How to avoid “group think”
• Decision making under pressure 
• Avoiding unconscious bias when forming a decision.
