The AICD has provided a submission on the Interim Report released by Consumer Affairs Australia and New Zealand on their review into the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
This review builds on earlier submissions on the use of the ACL as the regulatory instrument for fundraising and our broader campaign toe establish a nationally-consistent regulatory framework for fundraising.
The AICD’s advocacy, together with our sector partners, has elevated the issue of fundraising in the focus of the review of the ACL. As such, the interim report specifically contemplates the clarification of the ACL as it applies to fundraising, including with reference to how this clarification would facilitate reforms at the state and territory level.
