The Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) is pleased to announce the 2023 Queensland Gold Medal has been awarded to Ms Bronwyn Morris AM FAICD.

The Gold Medal recognises excellence in governance, and the AICD is proud to continue to honour the high standards of governance and leadership that Bronwyn Morris has demonstrated throughout her career.

Her experience extends across a broad range of industries from transport, infrastructure and energy to professional services, retail and the not-for profit sector.

Her current directorships include Urban Utilities, Dalrymple Bay Infrastructure and National Intermodal Corporation. Bronwyn also serves the Queensland community through her work for the RACQ Foundation and the Menzies Health Institute.

AICD Managing Director and CEO Mark Rigotti MAICD presented the Gold Medal to Ms Morris at a reception marking the 40th anniversary of the Queensland award, attended by 200 distinguished guests.

“It is an honour to be able to present Bronwyn with this award in recognition of her service to the AICD and her exceptional directorial career, especially in such a landmark year for the Queensland division,” Mr Rigotti MAICD said.

“Not only is Bronwyn an AICD Fellow, she was a member of our Queensland Divisional Council from 2010 to 2019 and president for two of those years.”

The Queensland division congratulated Bronwyn and said the award provided an opportunity to honour and celebrate a member who has displayed a longstanding commitment to excellence and leadership.

The first Gold Medal awarded by the Institute’s Queensland division was to Allan Campbell in 1984. Since then the list of winners has included many notable and some unsung heroes, representing all sectors across the state and nationally.
