Trent Bartlett FAICD has been named by the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) as this year’s winner of the PwC Director Award for Excellence in the Metro WA Not-for-Profit Sector.

This award recognises the outstanding contribution of a Perth-based director for their leadership on director issues and promotion of excellence in governance to achieve a positive impact for society.

Mr Bartlett has held many board positions over almost 20 years including in ASX listed and large private companies, membership organisations and social enterprises across several industry sectors.

He is currently serving on five commercial boards and not-for-profit boards and is chair of three of them - Good Sammies, Rocky Bay and Travellers Choice. He is also an independent director on the boards of Beyond Bank Australia and the Australian Packaging Covenant, and an Independent Member of the Nomination Committee of the Board of CPA Australia.

Mr Bartlett is a former independent director of Co-operative Bulk Handling (CBH) and he spent 10 years in his most recent executive role as CEO of Capricorn Society. Both CBH and Capricorn are two of Australia’s largest co-operatives owned and run by members.

WA State Manager Carl Cockerham GAICD said Mr Bartlett continued to make a valuable contribution to Western Australia’s corporate and public life.

“This award is due recognition of Trent’s commitment over nearly two decades to the important work of the not-for-profit sector and the expertise that he’s brought to his many board positions over this time.”

Mr Bartlett said he was very pleased to receive the Director Award for Excellence and thanked the AICD and PwC for the honour.
