Ms Rebecca McGrath FAICD, has been appointed as AICD's Victorian Division President. Ms McGrath also joins the AICD’s National board as the Victorian Division director.
The Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) has announced that internationally experienced business leader Rebecca McGrath FAICD, has been appointed as its Victorian Division President.
Ms McGrath also joins the AICD’s National board as the Victorian Division director.
Ms McGrath has been a professional director for 11 years and is currently Chair of Oz Minerals Ltd and a non-executive director with two other ASX listed companies, Incitec Pivot Ltd and Goodman Group. She is also the independent Chair of Scania Australia and a non-executive director of unlisted Investa Property Group.
Ms McGrath is involved with several not-for-profit organisations: she is Chair of Kilfinan Australia; a member of Chief Executive Women; and ambassador for the National Association of Women in Operations.
Prior to her non-executive career, Ms McGrath spent more than 23 years as an executive in the oil industry.
Ms McGrath said she was honoured to be elected by her peers.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has spurred a lot of challenges and changes for all sectors of the business community and I’m proud that the AICD continues to produce helpful resources and professional development at a critical time for the Australian community.”
AICD Chair, John Atkin, congratulated Ms McGrath on her appointment.
“Over the years Rebecca has consistently lent her time and expertise to AICD forums, programs, roundtables and other research projects, and I know she will continue to be an asset to the AICD through her roles on the National Board and on Victorian Division council.
“I also want to acknowledge David Bayes for his substantial contribution to the AICD over the last six years, as Victorian Division President and on the National Board.”
