AICD announces 140 NFP scholarship recipients

The Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) has announced the 140 recipients of its governance scholarship for leaders of small not-for-profit organisations.

The 140 scholarship recipients, from right across Australia, will attend the AICD’s highly-regarded NFP Foundations of Directorship program.

This year a total of 734 applications were considered, which is almost a 50 per cent increase on last year.

Scholarships were offered to individuals associated with organisations with less than $2 million turnover.

Successful applicants are from a wide variety of sectors including sport, the arts, regional community groups and tourism as well as disability, veterans, homelessness, health and child care services.

The scholarships form part of the AICD’s strong commitment to the NFP sector. We continue to provide free resources to this vital sector including our updated Not-for-profit Governance Principles.
