This masterclass is designed for First Nations people who are interested in board roles but may be unsure where to start. It provides a clear introduction to what boards do, what directors are responsible for and how to identify opportunities that are meaningful rather than tokenistic.
Through practical insights and real‑world examples, participants will build confidence, ask the right questions, and begin developing an authentic voice for future board participation. No prior director experience is required - this session is about understanding the pathway, building capability and preparing for what comes next.
This program is led by Emma Garlett, Director of Garlett Group—an independent consultancy driving social impact through ESG Advisory, Research and First Nations Advisory.
