First Nations Community Governance Pathways Scholarship 26/27

Scholars will receive:

• Enrolment into the AICD’s Governance Foundations for Not-for-profit Directors course.
• Virtual coaching sessions with Jahna Cedar OAM GAICD.
• Half-day leadership workshop delivered by JY Australia, focused on community and cultural values, to ensure Scholars can contribute to collective decision-making in a way that respects traditional leadership structures.
• Invitation to attend AICD’s First Nations Community of Practice sessions – which provide an invaluable space for First Nations leaders to connect, share experience.

To be eligible, you must:

• be a person of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent, and be recognised as such by the community in which you live and participate;
• be a current or aspiring First Nations director or leader working within a First Nations community organisation, contributing to the self-determination and governance of the First Nations communities;
• be aged 18 years old or over;
• be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident;
• never have been disqualified from being a director of a corporation or organisation;
• not be a 'Graduate' of AICD’s Foundations of Directorship, Company Directors Course or Boardroom Mastery. Graduates of these courses are considered over-qualified to undertake this program. A ‘Graduate’ in this context means an individual learner who has attended the full AICD course, attempted and passed all assessment tasks, and been awarded the course certificate (and post-nominals, if applicable).
• agree to the scholarship timings and commitments (including course attendance) ; and
• meet the pre-requisites required for your preferred course or program.
