About the Member grade 

Find out if joining as a Member is right for you and what the membership requirements are.

Who joins as a member?

Professionals who join as Members are typically:

- practicing directors of a company or NFP
- CEOs or executives reporting to a board
- business owners/partners
- advisory board members
- professors (or equivalent)
- tertiary faculty heads (e.g. business, law)

Eligibility requirements

Members are required to either:

Have at least two years’ experience as a director, executive reporting into a board or business owner/ partner; or Be the faculty head or professor at a tertiary institution.

CPD Requirements. <p>Members are required to accrue the mandatory number of Director Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points to maintain their membership.</p>
Upgrading to the Member grade (MAICD)

If you’d like to solidify your commitment to the practice of governance, you can upgrade your membership from an AAICD to an MAICD via the new myAICD member portal.
