Tim Reed GAICD

Director, Transurban

Tim was appointed to the Climate Change Authority on 1 May 2025 for a 5-year term.

He is a former President of the Business Council of Australia, where he played a leading role in securing bipartisan support for Australia’s Net-Zero 2050 target and advocating a stronger 2030 target of a 46–50% emissions reduction.


Tim is a Partner at Potentia Capital, an Australian private equity firm with over $1.5B in funds under management, focused on growing local software businesses. Previously, he spent 12 years as CEO of MYOB, expanding the business eightfold to more than 800,000 subscribers and an enterprise value above $2.5B.

He also serves as a Non-Executive Director of Transurban Ltd and the Australian Climate and Biodiversity Foundation.

Tim holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, graduating as a Baker Scholar, and a Bachelor of Commerce (First Class Honours in Economics) from the University of Melbourne.
