Nora is an experienced company director with almost 30 years experience as a non executive chairman and director of companies in a wide range of industries including public, government and private sectors.
A former banking executive, she has a long track record in highly regulated sectors such as infrastructure and financial services, in capital intensive businesses such as resources as well as industries facing significant disruption from technology and market changes.
Over the term of her non executive career, she has chaired and participated in all the key committees typically supporting boards including having chaired remuneration, audit and risk committees of a number of listed companies.
Nora is currently a non-executive Director of Qantas Airways Ltd, Origin Energy Ltd, Brambles Limited and Westpac Banking Corporation. Previous directorships of publicly listed companies include the Atlas Arteria group, which she chaired, Telstra Corporation, Ausnet Services Ltd, Orica Limited, Newcrest Limited, Pacific Brands Limited and Stockland Group, to name a few.
She is a published author, a former Associate Professor in the Melbourne Business School at Melbourne University as well as a former member of the Takeovers Panel. In 2003, Nora was awarded a centenary medal for services to Australian society in business leadership.
Nora holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) First Class and a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Melbourne.
