Nigel has sat on over 50 boards and committees during his extensive career. Board roles have included executive director, non-executive director and chair for ASX listed companies; private companies in Australia, USA and Hong Kong; and Not for Profits in Australia.
He has also sat on a number of Government boards and committees in the UK, Australia and Fiji covering a range of topics from Defence and Taxis through to Land Titles.
After graduating in Cybernetics and Mathematics, Nigel started his career in defence intelligence in the UK before coming to Australia in the early 1980’s. He used his extensive analysis skills to develop a career in a number of markets including Defence, Government, Clean Technology, Water, Transport, Music, Golf, Agriculture, Project Management, AI Modelling and Radio Communications.
Nigel was an FAICD and sat on the NSW Council until his retirement in 2022. He is a life member of the Advisory Board Centre and sits on their ethics advisory committee. He has published several articles ranging from Entrepreneurial Governance to Nuclear Submarines. Nigel now lives mostly on the Gold Coast and is semi-retired but still does some advisory and board work between completing his Fine Arts Degree and playing Golf.
