Dr David Marshall AM FAICD

Chair, Canberra Region Tourism Leaders Forum

David spent over 20 years delivering media management and crisis management sessions, and high level communications advice to both private sector corporations and government departments around Australia. He worked extensively with police and intelligence agencies in Australia and lectured at the National Security College at the ANU.

Dr Marshall was General Manager of Canberra’s radio stations FM104.7 and 2CA when a lone gunman entered the Jolimont Centre, where the stations were located, his utility loaded with gas cylinders, Molotov cocktails and a loaded shotgun.  The man caused massive damage to the building and radio stations, eventually shooting himself. David was also called on to provide communications advice directly after the Canberra Bushfires in January 2003.
