Christine Hawkins AM founded Cinnabar International in 1997. She specialises in advising public and private companies, not-for-profit organisations and government at all levels on matters related to effective governance structures, board and director performance and sensitive board matters that require discreet and confidential advice.
A career as an economist and investment banker, including as an equity partner of a boutique investment and advisory firm, led to opportunities as a non-executive director with several large statutory corporations in challenging industries and as an advisor and CEO of start-up businesses.
Her experiences with the complexities of board dynamics and the role of governance in corporate performance led to writing and delivering courses for the Australian Institute of Company Directors for over 20 years.
Christine maintains a small portfolio of non-executive director and committee roles in higher education, investment management and government, that maintain the currency of her knowledge and expertise in practical governance matters. She also holds several not-for-profit roles including as Chair of the Fred Hollows Foundation, Kenya and with the Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens Limited, where she can literally smell the roses.
