Sunita is a Non-Executive Director for Maurice Blackburn Lawyers and the UN Global Compact Network Australia, the principal sustainability initiative for businesses in Australia. She is also an industry Senior Advisor with Accenture in the Communications, Media and Technology sector where she advises on strategy and the Co-Chair of the Tech Council of Australia’s media and marketing committee.
Sunita’s skills are in customer-led growth and transformation, media and digital strategy, corporate reputation, sustainability/ESG, community and social license. She is internationally experienced with a career spanning 30+ years in CEO and C-suite roles in the professional services sector in Australia and overseas (UK, Europe, US).
Prior to her Board career, she was CEO of the Australian Association of National Advertisers the regulator of advertising content in Australia, a $16bn industry. Through this role she garnered extensive experience with communications regulation, ethics, social license, community expectations of brands, privacy and trust.
Sunita is widely recognised for her leadership in media and marketing globally and has been awarded a Member of the Order of Australia for significant service to the media and marketing industry and gender equality. She has consistently ranked in Australia’s B&T Women in Media Power list for the last eight years.
