Rob has over 35 years’ experience in the energy and resources industry. His employment history is diverse, including a current role as Chair of Iluka Resources Ltd, and former roles as Managing Director of Beach Energy Ltd, Executive Director of Woodside Petroleum and Partner in Charge of King & Wood Mallesons in Perth.
Rob joined Woodside as General Counsel in 2005, following a career spanning two decades in the legal profession. During his time at Woodside, he enjoyed a series of promotions and expansions of responsibility, including a promotion to the Board in February 2012.
In addition to his role as Chair of Iluka, Rob is Chair of Perth Airport and a non-executive director of Cleanaway, as well as being a member of Council at Curtin University and a member of the AICD’s ASX Chairs Forum. He is also a former Chair of various organisations, including the Australian Energy Producers association, Perenti Ltd, Synergy, Southern Ports, and Landgate.
