Michael Goss

Michael Goss is a lawyer with close to 40 years’ experience at large and mid-sized Australian firms. He currently operates his own legal consultancy while also managing a diverse governance portfolio.


He has practised in commercial law, agribusiness banking, commercial banking and, more recently residential aged care. Michael has worked closely with many institutional finance clients including Rabobank (panel lawyer ~30 years), NAB, BoQ and ANZ.

In his governance portfolio, Michael is currently a director Metro South Hospital and Health Service, Queensland Rail and Queensland Rail Transit Authority, and he is Board Chair and an Executive Director with the privately owned Beaumont Care Group, which delivers residential and community care from eight sites across south-east Queensland.  Adjunct to his board roles as director, he contributes to five board sub-committees in finance, audit & risk and people & safety domains. Michael is also currently a director on the board of a private property developer developing residential stock around Brisbane and has served on the governing Council of a GPS school.

Michael brings a diverse range of commercial and legal skills and a strategic lens to his board and legal roles.
