Non-Executive Director

Katie is a director of a multifaceted portfolio of boards. She is currently a director of the Northern NSW Helicopter Rescue Service, Wests Group Australia (owners of the Newcastle Knights), The Bloomfield Group (mining and engineering) and has been recently elected Chair of Committee for the Hunter (independent regional advocacy/think tank).  While also acting as a strategic advisor for NSW EnergyCo’s Hunter Transmission Project. A project proposing the construction of over 100km of new 500kV double circuit transmission infrastructure between Bayswater and Olney/ Eraring.


This is after a career spanning the private sector and all three tiers of government, including positions as an elected local government representative and advisor at both a state and federal level and extensive executive career in the mining sector.  

Katie’s executive and board experience in highly regulated and challenging sectors has required management of crisis communications and navigation of complex approvals while also recognising the need to take a balanced approach and listen to and consider the concerns and issues of the community and other key stakeholders.  Katie is also a long term and passionate advocate for the Hunter.
