Staying up to date with professional reading is one way to bulk up your Director Professional Development (DPD) units.
Keeping up-to-date with professional reading, which contributes to your director development, is recognised as part of your Director Professional Development (DPD).
Professional reading includes journals, publications, online materials and books offered by the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and/or other organisations of appropriate professional standing. It also includes the Company Director magazine.
A maximum of 10 DPD units per year may be accrued for your professional reading.
You will need to ensure that your professional reading choices are:
- Focused on one or more of the overarching practice areas of directorship and governance; and
- Link with a quadrant in the Company Directors’ Corporate Governance Framework™ (that is, individual, board, organisational, stakeholder or core).
You can also learn more about earning DPD units on our website.
